People the circle has encountered who are either neutral towards them or have an ambiguous relationship to the circle:
- Jarvick - a merchant in Varsi who gave the circle a moonsilver box to deliver to Milo Divivovich.
- Kerin - solar who took a moonsilver box from the circle. (Gutts botched a memory roll and is now convinced her name was Melissa.)
- Milo Divivovich - Guild archon killed by Kerin
- Ranesk - a lizard-man (raptok) who saved Adrios and came to the solar's manse
- Shemaru - the librarian of Fakharu
- Sikunare - water spirit controlling a section of the Western Ocean. The circle eventually gave her the moonsilver box.
- Tepet Mason - Dragon-Blooded with whom Gutts traded armor
- White Cry - fair folk who spied on the circle, got beaten, then helped the circle defeat Finger of the Butterfly in Watch Valley
