Michael's Messages
Upon leaving Kether Rock the circle was given these messages from Michael by Obsidian Scream:
To Guen:
Silver Mirror -
Though I initially opposed your training here, I've come to see that, as in so many things, Maduka Shin's wisdom remains superior. Carefully watching your training has led me to believe that our approach need not deal so strongly in absolutes, but I do know two things. One is that solars of all kinds, including your comrades, can be monsters. Their emotions will take hold of them eventually, and I hope your circle is strong enough when it does. Two, a war is coming and if it is not won quickly, it will shake cities to the ground. For now, your unwillingness to commit to our path has proved to be acceptable, but sooner or later you will need to pick a side.
Maduka Shin discounts your people as a fringe element that need not concern us. I do not. I know that even now the lunars plan a war of their own against the Realm. I have memories from long ago of Luna's chosen and know that they could be a formidable ally. Or, if this is handled incorrectly, the resulting clash between the moon and the sun could destroy all of Creation. Though it may have been presented to you as something of an afterthought, your mission to bring an envoy here may be the most important thing we have asked your circle to do. Your choice of envoy may decide the fate of the world. We need someone who can walk with the solars as you do, but who has enough pull to convince the Silver Pact to do the same. Choose well.

Obsidian Scream is of the opinion that your armor bears the style of Kal Bax, who was a great First Age architect. Bax made very few personal artifacts, but he was known to conceal abilities in his creations, as object lessons to solars who couldn't be bothered to learn how to make such items themselves. In all likelihood, there may be secrets in your armor waiting to be unlocked. Having a notoriously large ego, Bax sometimes focused these secrets on himself, so finding out more about him may be of use. It's possible just knowing he made it might help in some way. Good luck.

Your connection to a lunar may be very advantageous. It is widely believed that the First Age lunar Raksi, the so called "Queen of Fangs", holds the Book of Three Circles in the city once known as Sperimin. Not so well known is that the book contains powerful magic in the form of small spiders that can weave copies of the books pages. Since this book contains every spell ever devised in the First Age, gaining access to it would no doubt prove useful.

You present something of an enigma to both Muduka Shin, which confuses me. Her attempts to locate information about you in the Celestial Bureaucracy came to nothing. Since she is extremely adept at finding information, she took this to mean that someone powerful in heaven doesn't want you found, possibly even the Maidens themselves. While I am shamed to admit ignorance in this area, protection from even one of the Celestial Gods tells me, frankly, that I should probably be nice to you. Since this protection appears to keep you safe from the political scheming among sidereals that make me distrust your teacher Hammer, you may be the perfect choice for another mission.
For some time, there have been rumors of a third training camp for solars. Any information about this camp would be greatly rewarded. Transmitting this information may be tricky, however, as Hammer would be the conduit. My suggestion would be to send me messages often through Hammer, as if you are trying to teach me calligraphy using meaningless phrases. Should any information about this third camp come up, refer to the camp as "my lingering back injury".

I have not been able to determine if you are the type of man who feels remorse at the part you played in the death of Perl Fist. If so, realize your mission was not chosen at random. Fist's death, while regrettable, was inevitable the moment he proved his lack of control made him dangerous to all life. He could not be trusted with the powers with which he had been graced. If you are not the type to feel remorse over your actions, perhaps the same could be said of you.
Be that as it may, information that may be of interest to you: the solar known as Husk is believed to be a master in the Ebon Shadow style. If you can track him down, you may be able to convince him to teach you. If so, I would appreciate it if you could teach what you have learned to your instructor Falling Jewel. We'll send her anywhere she needs to go.
