Personal Settings

When first logging on, before doing anything else, you should check your personal information and change your password by clicking the "Preferences" link in the menu to the left or at the top of the screen. This will also allow you to change the way the site works for you.

Editing Pages

When viewing a page, you can click "Edit" to edit the text of the page. (You can cancel the edit without making changes if you just want to see how a page is formatted.) Pages are specified using a wiki markup language. It uses mostly just text, but with a few special characters to do very simple formatting. For example, surrounding text with two single quotes will make it italicized.

If you are not familiar with wiki markup, the best way to figure it out is probably to look at some of the other pages on this site.

Adding Pages

Any text that you add to a page in MixedText will become a link to another page in the wiki (even if that page does not exist). If you click on a link to a non-existant page, you'll be asked to create it. So, if you want to add a new page, first edit the page that will link to this new page and set up this link. Save the page, then click on the link and create your new page.

Restricting Pages

You can restrict a page so that only you (and the site admin) can see it. This can be useful is you want to write down some character information that you don't want other players to see. Use the "Restrict" table while editing the page.
