The wolf does not surrender. He does not give up. He does not die. He steels himself and charges his foes, focusing his anger into their destruction. By concentrating for an action (in which she cannot split her dice pool) the martial artist may spend 5 motes to gain a number of additional -4 health levels equal to her permanent Essence. All her wound penalties become bonuses instead (so that the new health levels are actually +4). At the end of the scene, these extra health levels disappear, but this does not heal any damage sustained, and may even kill the character if she is still bearing more damage than his normally available health levels.

Alternatively, when the character takes enough damage to reduce her to incapacitated or below, she may trigger this effect reflexively by spending 5 motes and 1 Willpower.
